A reply from a WC enforcement officer.
A parish councillor lodged an enforcement complaint with WC re the new gates which have appeared on land at the junction of Ashton Road/Hilperton Drive.
The reply is below.
"Dear Mr ***,
Thank you for the enforcement complaint you submitted in respect of the above.
I have spoken to the new owner of the land who advised me that the previous fencing was compromised and so he has erected the current gates temporarily to secure the land.
He currently has an application in with the Council’s Highway department in respect of dropped kerbs to cross highway land.
At this time there is no breach of planning control so I will be closing the enforcement file however I have advised the owner that before carrying out any further works he should contact the planning team to check if planning permission is required.
If you have further concerns in the future please do not hesitate to contact us again and we can open a further enforcement file if necessary."
