Following a meeting of Hilperton Parish Council (HPC) last night, I offered to contact my e-newsletter subscribers to advise them of two issues which you will, hopefully, be interested in.
Please feel free to pass this to neighbours, friends, etc.
Firstly, the parish council has a vacancy which it can fill by co-option. If you have considered contributing to the future of Hilperton, this is an ideal opportunity. More information can be obtained from the clerk at the address given below.
Secondly, HPC will be receiving Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) from the new houses being built along Elizabeth Way. The payments will be phased over the next year and are expected to total approx. £200,000. The parish council has one or two ideas how best to use the CIL money for the future benefit of the parish, but it also seeks ideas from members of the public. How do you think the money should be used? Possibilities include improving/enlarging the village hall, or seeking to buy land to establish a ‘village green’/open space.
If you have any thoughts, for either issue, please contact the HPC clerk at clerk@hilperton-pc.gov.uk
