A very short August e-newsletter.
If you missed the Wiltshire Council (WC) webinar on the new National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF), you can watch it again on the WC YouTube channel. It doesn’t seem to be good news for either Wiltshire or Hilperton.
To find out more about the Government’s proposals, and to take part in the consultation, visit: Proposed reforms to the National Planning Policy Framework and other changes to the planning system - GOV.UK
The parish council (and HAAG) will be responding to the NPPF consultation, but you might wish to too. There are something like 160 questions – but you don’t have to give a response to all of them!! The consultation ends at 11.45pm on Tuesday 24 September 2024.
I am due to meet a representative of WC highways, and a police Inspector, next week to discuss what can be done about the continuing un-authorised use of the ‘cycle route’ adjacent to the rugby club. I still fail to understand why WC had to tarmac the full width of the by-ways.
When I meet them, I will also raise the issue of motorbikes ignoring the new closure on Devizes Road. Unfortunately, some of those ignoring the closure live in Hilperton.
Finally, welcome to the new subscribers to my e-newsletter. If you find it useful, please mention it to your friends and neighbours!!
