Two dates have been set.
In Wiltshire there will be a number of prisoners who will be early released in the first tranche on 10 September and then again in the second tranche starting from 22 October.
WC has been working closely with Wiltshire Police and other partners to ensure all the correct processes and support is in place.
For WC officers it is business as usual as, while this means some prisoners are released early, the usual high standards around process and support are in place.
While this is a police-led operation, WC has been closely working across all partners and are confident that everything is in place and in order to ensure this goes smoothly.
As always, WC don’t release locations of people released from prison, but all aspects of housing, care and support have been considered as part of the thorough process.
