Several areas of Hilperton have reported flooding issues.
The torrential rain recently has highlighted various areas of Hilperton.
The Marsh Road area is suffering (again) due to various reasons including a seemingly undersize culvert under Hammond Way and excessive run-off from the field opposite the garage. These are both issues known to Wiltshire Council and the time must have now come for them to be rectified.
The junction of Church Street and The Knapp has seen the road flooded - again an issue that Wiltshire Council is aware of. It is possible that run-off from the Church Farm development has made the matter worse and, again, this is something that WC and Ashford Homes need to address. If more houses were to be added to the development, one can only guess at the effect that would have on ground water dispersal in the area.
