Semington 'caravan site' update.
'Stop notice' served.
WWDC is not able to register the application until they have received further information and WWDC are in discussion with those living on the site about what is needed to complete the application to allow them to validate and register the application.
The intention of the temporary stop notice is to bring work to a halt and to prevent further development until the planning application has been determined. A photographic record of the site as it is now is being taken to record the condition of the site at the time the application was served.
The notice will not allow WWDC to reverse what work has taken place so far at the site. Also it will not prevent people living on the site if they are already residing there at the time the notice was served. WWDC may also have to concede further works required in the interests of the health, safety and wellbeing of anybody living on the site.
Any breaches of the temporary stop notice may result in action in the Magistrates Court.
WWDC moved as quickly as they could with the service of the notice but due legal process is slow (very slow) in comparison to a gang of workers with JCBs etc and two days start.
What happens in the future at this site will then depend on the outcome of the planning application.
