How long does it take to repair a streetlight?
The light was due to be repaired on the 12th May!
However, on the 15th May, in reply to my email to WC, I received the following reply.
"I have just been informed that the work scheduled for this week has now been amended/re-programmed.
I am sure this isn't what you hoped for and I can only apologise.
I have been advised of the following this morning -
Due to engineering difficulties and the nature of the work, this unit require specific resource which has been arranged for this work to be undertaken by Robelec. All the pole boxes and pole brackets will be attended from week commencing 23/06/25, this a more effective and efficient use of the specific resource."
So, work should be started two weeks from today (9th June).
Will WC finally get this sorted? Looking at where the light is, and the parked vehicles opposite, I presume that parking might have to be suspended and some form of traffic control put in place.
