A 'newly elected' Independent councillor (Russell Hawker) has become a Conservative.
If he has a shred of integrity one would presume that he will resign his seat (Warminster West) and stand in the by-election under his 'new' party colours, thus allowing the voters to give their opinion of his actions.
All it needs now for total chaos at County Hall, is for the Tories to call a motion of 'No Confidence' in the current leadership. Apart from anyting else, would WC then be able to set a legal budget/precept for 26/27?
It seems that too many councillors are 'playing politics' rather than thinking of the good of the county. Perhaps a Tory councillor, or two, fancy being selected to stand for parliament in a year or two?
Self-interest should not come before the wellbeing of Wiltshire.
