Redcliffe Homes has submitted an outline planning application for 80 homes at the ‘back’ of Devizes Road with access off the ‘rugby club’ roundabout on the A361. They obviously had no intention of taking any notice of the results of the ‘public consultation’ – but it ticks a box in the planning system!
WC set its budget earlier this week. We will see a 4.99% increase in the WC part of our precept with 2% of this being for adult social care. The vote was very close with 50 votes in favour and 48 against. Apparently, this was the first time since the inception of Wiltshire Council, back in 2009, that all 98 members were present!
There is still no news on speed limits, and I will chase WC for an update.
The parish council is intending to take-on the maintenance of the four play areas in the parish from WC. It is a long, slow process but progress is being made.
