Hilperton news from Ernie Clark.
Hopefully, everyone is now cooler than they were a month or so ago. Plus, those with houses backing onto fields are probably a lot calmer about any incidents that might happen.

It was a relatively quiet month with most energy, especially by HAAG, getting a response to Wiltshire Council (WC) about the new Local Plan. HAAG now has a new web site – do have a look at it.
The even more restrictive government rules re councillors being able to call-in planning applications are effectively already in place – quite how the government thinks this will speed-up the planning process I’m not sure.
I am still pressing WC to get back to me with some info on the possible 20mph limit through the village. The ‘authorized’ scheme for the southern end of the village is still ‘in place’, but it would be great to get the whole village covered by the order.
The next batch of new ‘double yellow lines’ will soon be out for consultation. Watch out for the notices appearing on various lampposts in Church Street, Hill Street, and Horse Road.
