Blacklands is set for next weeks WWDC planning committee.
You may have read that a recent archaeological excavation revealed ancient remains on the site. However, the finds are not important enough to stop development.

The site has outline permission so the application is for the detail of the design.

Due to the sensitivity of the site I have 'called-in' the application to be discussed by the WWDC planning committee. In addition, Staverton Parish Council has objected to the poor design and lack of parking on the site, and is also concerned about drainage, lack of consideration of where gas and sewer pipes are situated, and siting of affordable housing.

WWDC planning officers are recommending approval when it goes to planning committee on Thursday January 31st. The committee meets in the Council Chamber at the WWDC offices in Bradley Road, Trowbridge and if you wish to speak you need to register before 6.55pm.
