More news about the future of our air ambulance.
In an email the Great Western Ambulance Service Trust (GWAS) denied that our air ambulance service would be replaced by a new service based at Filton.

The email started with the words "The Wiltshire Air Ambulance is not under threat." It went on to state that GWAS was looking to improve the service, not remove it.

GWAS advised that the new Avon air ambulance has been set up in response to an identified gap in air cover for the people of Avon but will, when required, fly into Wiltshire in support of our existing helicopter. GWAS also wishes to continue its relationship with Wiltshire Police.

It would be great if these soothing words could be relied upon, but after the way the PCT has failed the people of West Wiltshire, can we be sure that GWAS won't change its mind in a few months time?
