Local Freight Assessment and Priority Mechanism – priority routes.
Requests for Horse Road (Hilperton), Ashton Road (Hilperton) and New Terrace (Staverton) to be considered for freight management measures were unsuccessful.

Three priority routes have been identified and the WCC Cabinet Member for Transport, Environment and Economic Development has approved the allocation of funding to further investigate the issues along these priority routes with a view to developing appropriate freight management measures.

The priority routes are:

B4040 from Malmesbury to Leigh

A361 from Littleton to Seend Fork

B4069 from Draycot Cerne to Lyneham

Subsequent runs of the mechanism will be undertaken annually to include any new freight issues notified to the county council and surveys will also be undertaken periodically to keep existing information up to date.
