Trowbridge landmark to be removed.
This comes after developers Thyian went into receivership after a long period of inactivity on the site.

The receivers, acting though their agents GVA Grimley, will be removing 7,000 tonnes of rubble. This will result in the height of the mounds being below the level of the hoardings. The mound will be levelled off reducing the impact on the town. Not all the rubble will be removed, as some of it will be used in the future redevelopment of the site.

Graham Payne, leader of West Wiltshire District Council, said: "I am delighted that after the considerable frustration of working with Thyian, we have a positive relationship with the receivers and the bank. It is great to be able to finally start addressing this local eyesore.

"While a final scheme for the development of this site is still some way off this is at least some progress."
