Semington PC meeting update.
A special meeting of Semington PC took place on Wednesday evening.
The meeting was well attended with about 70 villagers present. Speakers in the public forum expressed anger and disappointment at the decision to allow the site to remain.
The Chairman of the parish council explained that the decision could be 'overturned' only by judicial review. In addition complaints could be made via the WWDC standards committee (if concerning the conduct of a WWDC councillor) or the local government ombudsman (if the complaint concerns the conduct of the council).
The PC decided that a final decision would be made after councillors had examined the detailed file on the planning application whilst a motion from the floor of 'no confidence' in Semington's district councillor was not supported by the parish council.
