Shires Gateway work is well underway.
All three will be taking large units fronting Bythesea Road. Parkridge Developments is also in discussion with a number of other high street retailers and will be making further announcements shortly.

Parkridge Developments began work on site in May after being granted planning consent in March. Shires Gateway will not only provide much needed retail opportunities but will also see a new pedestrian street and public courtyard linking Bythesea Road and Stallard Street with boutique shops and cafes on the ground level and offices and apartments above.

Nick Scott, Director of Parkridge Developments, said: "Our aim is to obtain the best possible tenant line-up for the scheme in order to enhance the town's economy. The interest that has been shown in the scheme is extremely positive and Next, New Look and Brantano will create an exciting mix at Shires Gateway and really complement the current retail offer in the town. We are delighted that they and other retailers are excited about Shires Gateway and are committing to Trowbridge, particularly in the current market.

"This scheme and our proposal for the redevelopment of the former Peter Black site - a joint planning application with Waitrose - demonstrate our commitment to the regeneration of Trowbridge. The Cradle Bridge scheme will transform the derelict site near the river into a vibrant, riverside shopping, leisure and living destination and act as a catalyst for the revival of the wider area in particular St Stephen's Place, Castle Place car park and the refurbishment of Castle Place shopping centre."

Shires Gateway is expected to open by summer next year.
