Wiltshire and Swindon History Centre Open Day.
The history centre is to host an open day this Saturday.
The event is your passport to the past and you will have the chance to handle artefacts that are a quarter of a million years old - older even than your local councillors!!
Amongst other attractions are behind the scene tours, children's activities, exhibitions, meet local Wiltshire heroes from times past, see unique archives going back 800 years and visit the state of the art conservation labs.
In addition Julian Richards (archaeologist from TV'a 'Meet the Ancestors') will be speaking between 2.00 and 3.00 pm. However, spaces for his talk are limited with free tickets available from the History Centre.
