It is amazing just how much money is poorly spent at County Hall. To bring this to an end a Corporate Procurement Strategy is in place to 'centralize' purchasing.

A relatively easy 'win' has been made by saving £154k on paper purchase costs alone. However, when you consider that WCC has strategic spending costs of circa £3m a year on taxis and £8m on buses/coaches there is obviously plenty of scope for serious cost savings.
