An application is to be made to Chippenham magistrates for a licence.
Hilperton Parish Council will be considering their views next Tuesday (16 November) on an application by a national pub chain for a licence. A few months ago Marshgate signed an amendment to the Section 106 agreement covering the local centre area; this removed the requirement to provide a public house. Now, there is this licence application being made.

One must assume that Marshgate (having still failed to 'deliver' the community centre to the trustees) are now hoping to get an allocation for a pub re-inserted, presumably with the loss of the land allocated for the doctors' surgery.
