Great Bulkington Railway success.
£500 raised for charity.
The Great Bulkington Railway was opened to the public by Nev Boulton to raise funds for the UK Charity 'Help for Heroes'. This is a fund to help injured servicemen and women.
As those of us that were there know, it was fine, dry, with bright sunshine but very cold (especially to the toes!). Some 300 people visited and it was a treat to see the faces of the children, both young and not-so-young.
The icing on the cake for some was the fact that in addition to the advertised minature diesel engines, there was also a 'proper' steam engine pulling one of the trains.
