Both were considered by Hilperton planning committee last night.
After careful consideration it was decided that objections would be lodged against both plans.

One common theme to both was the fact that the applications are premature. In his report on the District Plan Inquiry, Mr. Mumford stated that both of these schemes are dependent on the secured provision of a refief road for Hilperton village. Where is it, then?

Persimmon have an application with the district council to build a road through The Gap, but this has yet to have a date set for the planning committee to even think about making a decision, so it is certainly not 'secured'. Let's take things one step at a time and not 'double guess' whether or not the road will receive permission.

It is about time that developers realised that planning is, actually, a democratic process; it is not merely a system for them to manipulate and ride over rough shod when it suits them.
