Work is taking longer than expected.
The utility company responsible (Wales & West Utilities) didn't rush to move their pipe, but the work is now done.

Saturday working has now been introduced to ensure the work is completed as quickly as possible and completion is due two weeks from now. Some minor work will be finished off the following week. Damage to verges etc. will be repaired before the contractor leaves the site.

One unexpected knock-on effect of the work is the fact that the Great Bear Distribution lorries have, on ocassions, had to go via Hilperton in both directions for their run to the warehouse at Semington. This is only a temporary measure and the usual 'one way' system of operation will be used as soon as traffic conditions allow.
