The WWDC planning committee met on Thursday night.
Pound Farm House, Horse Road, Hilperton.

Premier Training International applied for a change of use to a hostel accommodating up to 12 students. Neighbours and the parish council objected to the scheme, with several people referring to anti-social behaviour from 'residents' in the past.

Planning officers recommended permission with conditions but the planning committee refused the application on the grounds of nuisance to the neighbourhood.

Blacklands, Staverton.

Persimmon applied to build an extra three houses on the Blacklands development, which has extant permission for 96 dwellings.

Staverton Parish Council objected because of over-development and a poor layout.

Officers recommended approval saying the changes would be in keeping with the development as a whole. Local councillors spoke against the proposals but were unable to convince sufficient other members of the committee and permission was granted.
