Yet more Gap Road information and WWDC 'spin'.
A 'briefing note' has now been produced by WWDC.
As if the 'closed to public' meeting was not bad enough, the officers at WWDC have now produced a 'briefing note' for councillors which will, presumably, form the basis of their report to the planning committee.
The briefing note seems to consist mainly of selected quotes from the Persimmon Environmental Statement and I have contacted the oficer concerned questioning the probity of the document. If you would like a copy, please let me know.
Regarding the 'closed' meeting, you may have seen my letters in the local papers about it and the limited press coverage. I am glad to say that there is now a growing number of councillors who share my view, and there is a distinct possibilty that the the meeting may have to allow the public to listen. Quite right too, in my opinion. 2005 sees the introduction of the Freedom of Information Act, and WWDC should be ashamed of itself for even thinking of having a closed planning meeting.
If anyone would like to borrow Persimmon Homes' Environmental Statement in support of the application please contact me.
