We'll soon know who is standing for election.
The list of nominations will be published at mid-day on Monday.

Knowing how the main parties abhor not having their party emblem on the voting slip, I would guess that we will see the usual mixture of non-Hilpertonians and people that have been contacted by 'their' party asking them to stand.

Whether they will be 'paper candidates' (i.e. little more than a name on the ballot paper) or 'proper candidates' only time will tell.
