Marston Inns is seeking to be allowed to build a public house instead of the medical centre required by a legal agreement with the previous land owners at the local centre on Paxcroft Mead.

Ironically, the same agenda sees Wiltshire Primary Care Trust's plans for the development of a new 'supersurgery' in Trowbridge. This would go on land adjacent to Trowbridge Hospital but will be constructed on part of land leased by Trowbridge Cricket Club.
