Large Acacia tree located next to the swimming pool. We propose to selectively reduce overlong and over weighted limbs to prevent limbs from snapping and causing damage.. . Forest Pansy tree located in the allotment garden. We propose to reduce overlong branches and crown lift to approximately 1.5m to allowing clearance underneath the tree and promote a healthy canopy.. . Sycamore tree located behind the pond. We propose to pollard down to approximately 25ft as the tree is declining in health and could become a risk. Pollarding it will increase the life span of the tree. . . Weston Red Cedar located next to the pond. We propose to crown lift to approximately 2m to allow clearance underneath. . . Yew tree located next to the pond. We propose to crown raise to approximately 2m to allow clearance underneath and promote a healthy canopy.. . Catalpa tree located in the middle of the garden. We propose to crown raise to approximately 2m to allow clearance and promote a healthy canopy. . . Fox glove tree located in the middle of the garden. We propose to crown raise to approximately 2m to allow clearance and promote a healthy canopy. . . Pride of India tree located near the house, in the garden. Works to a Protected Tree Proposal:

Wessex Water are proposing to install approximately 1.2km of new water main along the footway of Elizabeth Way, Hilperton, to serve a new development. In order to connect into the existing water main network at Fieldways Roundabout at the southeast end of Elizabeth Way, exavations will be required in the footpath adjacent to a mature beech tree which is covered by TPO W/04/00004/MIXED (Land North of Roundabout, Hilperton Road, Trowbridge, Wiltshire).

The tree is approximately 7m from the excavation. Wessex Water are of the opinion that it is unlikely that significant roots would be encountered at this location due to the limited oxygen supply, and it is much more likely that roots would extend northwards into the field. However, there is a chance that roots may be encountered, therefore this application is being submitted as a precaution.

It is also possible that some minor trimming of lower branches will be required to gain access.

Principles of NJUG Vol. 4 and BS5837 will be followed during construction. Further arboricultural advice will be sought ahead of commencement and, if necessary, an arboricultural watching brief will be arranged for the intial excavation.

Proposal: Alteration to windows and doors to the rear elevation with the inclusion of bi-folding doors.

Proposal: Creation of 0.75ha mosaic of wetland, grassland and scrub woodland for biodiversity improvement and associated agricultural benefits. Including the creation of approximately 1,520 square meters of pond surface area (fluctuating over time seasonally and with ecological processes) spread over 3 small ponds and other habitat improving features including scrapes.
