The Wiltshire and Swindon Police and Crime Panel has approved a proposal by the police Commissioner Angus Macpherson to increase the precept by 1.99%. The vote has been taken regarding the allowance increases.

A surprising development today was that the leader of the Lib Dem group declared that he worked very hard as a Wiltshire Councillor and so would NOT support the motion to rescind the allowance increase. Good old Wiltshire Times....

Police and Crime Commissioner Angus Macpherson has launched a consultation on the police and crime element of the council tax for 2014-15. He is considering an increase of £3.15 per annum for a Band D property.
