Council leaders are calling on parents to let their children be children and to shake off what they call ‘the cotton-wool culture’. The plea has come from the Local Government Association (LGA) which is promising councils will put adventure back into play and which has produced research showing playgrounds moving away from the days of ‘no ball-games allowed’. The monthly meeting of Holt PC takes place on Thursday evening.

The deadline to apply for a postal vote for the 4th June elections has passed. However, you still have time to register for a proxy vote. Anyone eligible to vote at the election can be your nominated proxy, it doesn't have to be a member of your family. Wednesday, May 20 was national Rogue Trader Day.

Wednesday, May 20 was national Rogue Trader Day, and Wiltshire Council's trading standards and traveller liaison teams have been out and about with Wiltshire Police in the county advising local businesses and looking for rogue traders. WC is is 'wind-down' mode for the election.

The current Holt & Paxcroft division of Wiltshire Council is being split four ways for the 4th June election. A regular WC western area planning meeting will be held on Wednesday.

The meeting will be held on Wednesday (13th) at the Bradley Road offices of Wiltshire Council. Commencing at 7.00pm anybody wishing to speak must register by 6.50.
Please note the new regular day; Wednesday not Thursday and the new 'sign-in time' of 6.50 not 6.55. Hilperton PC planning committee needs to meet this week.
