Good news to start 2006, as it would seem that the Leader of WWDC has embarked on a job creation scheme. Presumably, the phrase "financial constraint" is unknown to this Lib Dem dominated administration.

Terry Chivers calls it a day on the Lib Dem dominated Cabinet.

When developers wanted to be released from building an hotel at Staverton Marina, they stated that their market research showed that retail units were the alternative. Now, apparently, they were wrong - what a surprise.

Following publication of the original consultation venues a number of people expressed concern that there was not to be an event in the Trowbridge, or West Wiltshire area. The events that had been arranged were only in Swindon, Salisbury and Chippenham.

In response to my question to the chairman of the WWDC planning committee, I have received a written answer.

The public Inquiry regarding phase 7b ended today.

After approx. 14 hours of submissions, cross examinations, discussion of detail etc. the two day Public Inquiry reached its conclusion this afternoon.
