In a recent survey, 62% of consumers said that they remembered to recycle items from their kitchen, but this figure falls dramatically to 36% for bathrooms and 34% for bedrooms. The impact of fuel price rises on local councils has been spelled out.

Fuel prices have increased by 23% for petrol and 36% for diesel between August 2007 and June 2008, putting up to 5 pence per mile on the cost of motoring. The Mead Primary School is looking for a new governor.

The Local Education Authority (LEA) is allowed to nominate upto four governors at The Mead Community Primary School. The meeting commences at 7.30pm at the village hall.

As expected, the Boundary Committee published its Draft Recommendations for Wiltshire today. With this, Stage Three of the review process commenced. More fraudsters being caught and prosecuted.

Local authorities are working hard to crackdown on fraudulent benefits claims which have seen record levels of public money being stolen and overpaid. WCC to look again at this junction.

The Department of Health have published a 'Health Profile' for West Wiltshire for 2007. No financial assistance for school transport to St. Laurence.

A private initiative to provide a school bus to St. Laurence in Bradford-on-Avon will not receive financial assistance from WCC.
As the local WCC councillor for the person trying to reduce car travel to BoA, I have tried to prise some sort of financial assistance from WCC but have been told that "it is not WCC policy to provide financial subsidy for travel to 'choice' schools". Still no decision from WWDC.

Yesterday afternoon a meeting took place at Semington swingbridge. A number of concerned local residents attended as did the local press, Wiltshire Sound, Andrew Murrison MP, myself and a representative from British Waterways (BW). Ernie Clark will meet Andrew Murrison tomorrow.
