In addition to the Paxcroft Mead section 106 matter (see earlier web posting), there are two planning applications.
The meeting will be held at the council office in Bradley Road. Lottery bid to be made for play area improvements.

West Wiltshire District Council is applying for lottery funding of £237,000 to improve play areas in the five towns.
The money has been ringfenced for West Wiltshire from money put aside for improved play opportunities for children and young people. The issue of land use is to be debated again.

The question of whether the land beside the take-away at Paxcroft Mead Local Centre should go for a pub or a medical centre returns to the WWDC planning committee next Thursday (13th). Semington affordable housing plans resubmitted.

West Wiltshire District Council has welcomed the news that North Wiltshire councillors will be debating whether to support a judicial review of unitary status at their meeting on 4 September. Hilperton Village Hall to benefit from new legal agreement.

Councillors agreed to amend the legal agreement for the Blue Hills development in Hilperton, withdrawing the requirement for a contribution by the developers to local schooling, and replacing it with a contribution to community facilities, specifically towards improvements to Hilperton Village Hall. Questionnaires have recently been sent out.

West Wiltshire District Council (WWDC) has been joined by Salisbury and Kennet district councils in the legal fight against the government decision to create a new council for Wiltshire. A meeting of the planning committee takes place next Thursday.

A special council meeting last Wednesday considered the impications of the Secretary of State's (S of S)decision to reorganise local government in Wiltshire. More roads in Trowbridge are to be closed.

Paxcroft Mead developer JJ Gallagher has appealed against the decision of the West Wilts planning committee not to permit housing on the local centre land north of the access road to the school. Last year the proposals weren't adopted, but this time?
