First it was a new Lidl store in Melksham, then the application by Asda to build a new supermarket on the Countrywide site, and now Sainsbury claim that they are about to submit an application for an extension to their existing supermarket. A regular WWDC planning meeting will be held on Thursday.

The meeting will be held on Thursday at the Bradley Road offices of WWDC. Commencing at 7.00pm anybody wishing to speak must register by 6.55. The monthly meeting will be held tomorrow night at the village hall.

Please note that the January meeting of the full council will be held on 20th January. The parish council meets most months, usually on a Monday.
