The decision of the planning inspector relating to planning application 05/01085, dated 01 June 2005, is now available. All Paxcroft items were considered last night.

The WWDC planning committee considered all three Paxcroft Ward items last night, in a meeting that lasted 'only' four and an half hours. There are three items relating to Paxcroft Ward.

The meeting will commence at 7.00pm on Thursday 26 January in the council chamber at Bradley Road. Anyone wishing to speak must register before 6.55pm. Tickets are now available for this 'variety show'.

For 2006 'Hilperton Presents' will not be performing a panto. Instead, there will be a variety show performed by local groups and individuals.
It will be held on Friday 27 and Saturday 28 January, commencing at 7.00pm on both dates. Today's issue has an interesting article on the proposed budget.

Christmas cards can be recycled for the Woodland Trust via branches of W H Smith and larger Tesco stores. More expense for the long suffering WWDC council tax payer.

Good news to start 2006, as it would seem that the Leader of WWDC has embarked on a job creation scheme. Presumably, the phrase "financial constraint" is unknown to this Lib Dem dominated administration. Terry Chivers calls it a day on the Lib Dem dominated Cabinet.

Nearly 100 dogs have been microchipped by West Wiltshire District Council’s dog warden as part of an on-going campaign to reduce the number of strays found in the area. Persimmon has appled to uproot Gap Road hedging.

The Government has announced the grant settlement amount for WWDC which, after much lobbying by the previous administration, shows an increase compared to the previous couple of years. A Trowbridge dental unit wants to move out of town.

When developers wanted to be released from building an hotel at Staverton Marina, they stated that their market research showed that retail units were the alternative. Now, apparently, they were wrong - what a surprise. The planning inspector has announced his decision.
